Morning on the Wissahickon

This morning I found myself free to plan my day however I’d like. My boss gave our team the day off since we put in so much time this summer. So, after making Lily pancakes and shuffling her off to Kindergarten I decided to drive down to the Wissahickon before doing all the pre Thanksgiving chores. I figured with all this rain we’ve had lately it would be blown out, and it was. However, a goregous mist held in the air and I figured I might as well see the other subtleties of the mode of the creek.

In the faint light the moss shone like green neon.

I had hoped to fish today. This past weekend I had hooked a large brown trout in a nice bend but he promptly shook the hook, he’s been haunting me all week. But all is well really, have too much to do anyway.  The walk allowed me to get lost for a little while.
